Secure Online Banking Enhancements


North American State Bank is committed to assist in ensuring your security and privacy through every product we offer. Both fraud and identity theft are of increasing concern to everyone and this enhancement to Online Banking is just one way we are fulfilling our commitment to you.

Enhanced Security: How Does It Work?
Identify you to the bank:

    Each time you login to Online Banking our computer system will verify your access ID and then identify the computer you are using. If you are using a different computer than you usually use, you will be prompted to answer a security challenge question. This layer of security ensures that you are the only individual accessing your information.

Identify the bank to you:

    Each time you login to Online Banking you will see the image and pass phrase that you selected in your initial enrollment. This layer of security ensures that you are on North American's website.

Enhanced Security Enrollment Instructions
At the nasbank.com homepage;

1. Select either Personal Banking Login or Business Banking Login
2. Enter your Access ID and click Submit
3. Enter your Password and click Submit
4. When the enrollment window appears, then;

  • Enter or confirm your email address

  • Enter a phrase to identify the authentication image*

  • Choose and answer 3 challenge questions

  • Select whether you are logging in with your personal computer or a public computer**
  • * When logged in you may change your image, phrase, or security questions by choosing Options, then Change Security Data.

    ** Only register personal computers that you frequently use. Do not register computers that are for public use.

    Login using a Registered Computer
    1. Select either Personal Banking Login or Business Banking Login
    2. Enter your Access ID and click Submit
    3. You should now see your image and pass phrase. Verify they are correct. If the image and pass phrase are incorrect or not visible, try to login again or give us a call. Do NOT enter your password!
    4. If the image and pass phrase are correct, enter your password and click Submit

    Login using a Non-Registered Computer
    1. Select either Personal Banking Login or Business Banking Login
    2. Enter your Access ID and click Submit
    3. Since you are logging in from a non-registered computer, our Online Banking system will not recognize the computer you are on. You will be prompted to answer one of the challenge questions you selected during your initial enrollment.
    4. Answer your challenge question
    5. Select public or personal computer ***
    6. Click submit
    7. Enter your password
    8. Click submit

    *** Only register personal computers that you frequently use. Do not register computers that are for public use.
